What this online community provides.

Stay connected and supported with Keswick Brothers.  Find help and provide help.  Need a job or housing find it.  Know about an available job or housing situation post it.  Tell the brothers your story.  Pray.

The majority of the community portal is membership driven and password protected to provide security for the brothers, alumni, and partners.  It is essentially a knowledge base of connections and useful information.  The immediate benefit is to assist brothers graduating from the colony with concrete job and housing assistance as they move on which may help with a smoother transition, offer options, and alleviate stress in their final weeks.  Long term this community portal can provide life-long support wherever brothers may be located.  Finally, it provides every brother the opportunity to join in the mission.  Brothers helping brothers. 

Helping Bothers - Use Cases:

Prayers:  Post prayers and inform the brothers as prayers are answered. Prayer works!

Housing:  Brothers need housing upon graduation and as their journey continues.  

• Alumni post available rooms and apartments.

• Brothers browse the housing posts for available housing.

• The parties involved work out the details.  

Jobs:  Brothers need a job upon graduation from Keswick.

• Alumni post job positions, opportunities they know about, or they themselves are hiring.   

• Brothers review job posts. 

• The two work out the details.

Transportation:  Brothers graduating from Keswick need transportation such as a bicycle scooter, etc. 

• Alumni post transportation options.     

• Brothers browse posts

• The two parties work out delivery.  

Sub-support-sites:  Brothers in various locations can create bible study or support groups sites.

• Ask site admin to create a sub-site community for their local needs.

• Brothers can form bible studies and support groups at their local level.

• ECC has their own sub-site for the Thursday recovery group.  

Future feature:  Brothers and Keswick partner business directory promotions.

• Brother/partner businesses are posted on site.

• Members can review and support these businesses.

Real example of useful job information:  While meeting members at Emmanual Community church, I found that one member manages seven Quick Chek stores in ocean county.  I asked her if she would hire Keswick graduates.  She said to put her name on the application.  This is a great connection.  This is one example of a gathering information and connections to support the brothers.   The potential is great.
